CAHU’S VoterVoice

We need your help. At moment’s notice, we may need your help communicating CAHU’s position on critical issues. To make CAHU’s “one voice” as effective and efficient as possible we have a simple, online system – VoterVoice. Many of you might be familiar with NAHU’s Operation Shout – VoterVoice is essentially the same – a grassroots system designed to communicate, via email, a group’s position on an issue to political leaders. By registering, you are simply activating your participation in future campaigns. PAC – POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES

Few other industries are as heavily regulated as health insurance. Therefore, your success, and that of your clients, is directly dependent upon the actions of legislators. It is absolutely critical that we help those members who are willing to consider our point of view in support of private sector health insurance.

Health Underwriters Political Action Committee (HUPAC)

HUPAC is registered with the Federal Election Commission. Since NAHU and similar organizations are prohibited from making political contributions, HUPAC was created to allow contributors to combine their financial support to a candidate to achieve maximum effect.

HUPAC’S MISSION:

The purpose of the NAHU’s Health Underwriters Political Action Committee (HUPAC) is to raise funds from NAHU members for the purpose of supporting the political campaigns of candidates who believe in private sector solutions for the health and financial security of all Americans.  To contribute, click here:  https://hupac.nahu.org/hupac/login/index.cfm

California- Political Action Committee (CAHU PAC)

CAHU PAC is the California Association of Health Underwriters Political Action Committee for the state of CA. CAHU has tirelessly promoted the vital role played by agents and brokers in the health insurance marketplace and the need for rational healthcare reform in our State. CAHU PAC is governed by a separate Board of Directors but the PAC works hand-in-hand with CAHU to achieve CAHU’s legislative goals. Local chapters elect PAC Chairs who are responsible for educating members about the importance of the PAC. Local chapter PAC Chairs raise funds for the PAC, attend political fund raisers, and provide information about up and coming candidates who might deserve PAC support.
